A few words about Adding Pages in Wix…
There are two types of web pages that you can add to your Wix website: regular pages, and mini pages. Most of Wix' free website templates use mini pages. This is because mini pages allow designers more flexibility, and minimizes site loading times.
Mini Pages
Mini pages are just like regular web pages but with a few added benefits. They appear inside the frame of a regular web page, and therefore provide dynamic content (changing content) within the static content (content that remains the same) of a regular web page. This opens up a few possibilities. With mini pages you can:
- Add a menu that connects your mini pages which can be viewed from everywhere on your site
- Have music play continuously throughout your site, by planting a music player outside of your mini-pages
- Adjust the size and location of your mini pages by clicking and dragging the corners of your mini page
- Optimize the loading time of your website. Mini-pages all load in one shot, so your visitors aren't left waiting for each individual page to load.
To Add Mini Pages to a Blank Website
From the toolbar on the left side of the free website builder, go to Page Parts and click Mini Pages. Select a style of Mini Pages from the gallery that opens on the bottom right of the builder. Your mini pages will be added to your site. Click to drag them wherever you like, and resize by dragging the corners.
To Add a Page to Mini Pages
To add an additional page, click Manage and Add Page. Or, simply click the Add Page icon from the property panel on the bottom of the editor. A new page will be added to your mini-pages, and will be placed automatically at the end. Click Manage to rearrange the order of your mini-pages, rename them, add, duplicate, hide and delete pages. If there is already a menu connected to your mini pages, the new page will also be automatically added to the menu.
To Add a Larger Page
Click on your site's main web page, and click Manage on the upper right corner of the editor. Add, delete or duplicate a page from here.
As you can see, adding pages to your Wix website requires just a few clicks. Use the Manage tab in the upper right corner of the editor to see your entire site's architecture. Have fun expanding your free Flash website!
