In the timeless tale of The Fisherman and the Fish, a humble man casts his net and reels in more than he bargains for—a magical golden fish with the power to grant wishes. What begins as modest hopes soon spirals into audacious dreams, each wish revealing more about human ambition and creativity, and the fine line between aspiration and excess.
As 2025 is still in its infancy and spread out before us full of potential, we play the role of that little magical goldfish. Chatting with 7 designers from our various Design Guild teams, we granted them 6 imaginary wishes:
Project | What’s your dream project for the upcoming year?
Inspiration | A person or group of people I’d like to meet, have a drink with, and get inspired by. Share what you’ll ask them.
Technology | Is there a new tool you wish existed, a new technology or software you wish to learn, a new feature within a tool you hope for? Explain why and how you would use it
Fantastical | Share a creative wish that feels completely unachievable. Dream big!
Letting go | Something you’re ready to give up, do less of, to help with your creative process and practice
From extraordinary ambitions to fresh perspectives on design tools, their responses reveal both the tangible and the transformative dreams that could shape the creative landscape of tomorrow.
Let’s hear what they had to say.
Mika Mamom | Templates Design Team

Project
“I’m looking forward to designing my parent’s website. They work together as Architects that have a long history of beautiful projects and continue to work very hard still. They’ve inspired me creatively my whole life, and I really want to give them the gift of a good website, they truly deserve it.”
Inspiration
“I recently learned about film director Ruben Östlund (Force Majeure, The Square, Triangle of Sadness) and I admire his ability to create powerful statements and critiques using small stories and “every-day” scenarios. I would love to sit down with him and talk about my theories of representations in his films.”
Technology
“I love Figma, and I use it often for everything it offers- but it's only good for web design and recently for slides as well. If I could use Figma to design vectors I would definitely prefer it!”
Fantastical
“It would be cool to create titles for a movie or a music video of an artist I love. I think graphic design thrives when paired with video and it would be cool to experience this combination, which I haven't before.”
Letting go
“A classic one I know a lot of creatives deal with- over criticizing myself! It is the biggest thing that always stands between me and my achievements. I am hopeful about that one though, as I’m seeing a big improvement over time. realizing that everyone struggles with it and realizing that it’s a part of the deal took a lot of weight off it.”
Dean Naim | Motion

Project
“I’ve always been drawn to painting with oils, but I’ve avoided it out of a fear of working on large canvases with wet mediums. My comfort zone has been working with colored pencils or digital tools (where Ctrl + Z is a lifesaver). But I have so many ideas and compositions that I'm excited to bring to life on a bigger scale. So, my dream project for the upcoming year is to finally dive into the world of oil painting and create those large-scale pieces I’ve been envisioning.”
Inspiration
“It’s been tricky to stay connected to some of my inspirations, most of them have been pretty vocal about their thoughts about the current conflict which made it pretty hard to keep following them or wanting to meet up with them. But I’d still love the chance to sit down with artists like Lorenzo Mattotti, the late Zdzislaw Beksinski, or even Tyler, The Creator. Their work speaks volumes about their thought processes, and I’d love to dive into conversations about what drives them creatively. Even just sharing a casual chat about life and creativity over a drink would be incredible.”
Technology
“Video games are a huge passion of mine. I’ve always wanted to make one, but creating even the smallest game is a monumental task. I started learning Unity and C# for about six months and had an absolute blast, but I eventually had to step back and focus on other projects. I’d love to pick it up again and explore game design more deeply—maybe even dive into Godot.”
Letting go
“Wolt has definitely taken its toll, both on my wallet and my waistline! I’d love to start cooking more for myself and finally break up with this devilish app. Not only would it be healthier, but it would also give me more control over what I eat. The challenge is finding the time. There’s a certain allure in having food magically show up at your doorstep with zero prep and cleanup. But I think giving up the convenience for a healthier, more balanced routine would be a good trade-off.”
Fantastical
“Finishing an animated short film I’ve been working on for a while. Right now, it’s still stuck in its infancy - just some early drafts and a handful of concept art. My hope is to develop a routine of working on it a little every day. I truly believe in the power of small, consistent efforts to build up into something meaningful over time. Maybe this year, those little steps will turn that ambitious idea into reality.”
Lior Giat | Wix Playground

Project
“The truth is that I have several ideas for dream projects, First of all at Wix I would like to continue creating connections between the global design community and our product, and also personal things I would like to design a new font that would be successful, or I would like to design to music some famous cover album so that the design will enter the design culture, and regardless I want to continue learning and developing for a very long time (master's degree in design and such)”.
Inspiration
“I would like to meet the designer Jonathan Brankbook, a designer that I personally appreciate very much who is mainly involved in designing for music, I really connect with the simplicity and sophistication of his designs, and I would like to ask him how he got to the point where he designed David Bowie's several albums (and even won an Emmy Award for it)”.
Technology
“In general, I would like to learn better tools for 3D design, and I would be happy if there were AI tools that help produce new materials easily that save rendering time, I imagine that these may already exist and there is a chance that I have not been exposed to them yet. Much of learning 3D requires time and attempts and rendering takes a lot of time, so if there was a tool that speeds it up, I believe it would be more convenient for me to learn these tools in depth during my daily work.”
Letting go
“I don't know if I'm ready to give up something specific at the moment, but I would like to go back to designing a little less with digital tools and more manually, whether it's typography or lettering and in general to cultivate a bit the manual skills and not just the skills with digital means. I believe it's a good basis for a lot of things we do and craft has an aesthetic that the computer can't produce in a "real" way.”
Fantastical
“Ummm, two achievements that I would like to achieve, some design that I will make that will be perceived as part of my local culture, maybe in the field of music, maybe even win an Emmy Award for the design of a successful music album in the world”.

Project
"My dream project for this year is to create something that makes a tangible impact on the world. Coming from an orthodox society that is deeply traditional and conservative, I aspire to develop a project that advocates for values like equality and open-mindedness. I believe in the power of design to influence ideas and challenge dogmas. I imagine this project as a multifaceted, complex event that allows me to experiment with designs across various platforms, from digital to print, creating a rich and holistic experience. There’s something thrilling about crafting a visual language that seamlessly travels across multiple formats, with each medium contributing uniquely to the overall experience."
Inspiration
"I’d love to sit with Kim Kardashian over a cup of hot chocolate and hear stories about her extraordinary brand. Her brand is so particular and polished, yet daring and groundbreaking. I’d ask her how she manages to refresh her image so definitively, creating a visual identity that is simultaneously timeless and contemporary. I admire how she incorporates iconic and historical references, blending elements from the past with new and trendy designs. I’m also fascinated by how she maintains her authenticity despite constant public attention, making it all seem so effortless — a quality I deeply value in design. And of course, I’d have to ask her: which face cream do you actually use?"
Technology
"Like everyone else, I understand that working with AI-based tools is the future. The ability to quickly create accurate visuals significantly enhances creative freedom and streamlines work processes. I’d like to gain more experience and become proficient in using these tools. Although I’ve experimented with AI in the past, as a visual thinker, I often find it challenging to describe in words what I envision. As a result, the outputs don’t always align with my imagination. My goal is to reach a level of proficiency where I can effectively use these tools to translate complex ideas into high-quality images, free from the constraints of articulation."
Fantastical
"My biggest dream is to create a brand or design that people all over the world will instantly recognize and connect with—something that communicates in a universal language, transcending words and linguistic barriers. I remember being in the Netherlands for a student exchange program and encountering an incredible project entirely in Dutch. Although I couldn’t understand a single word, the beauty and quality of the design immediately captivated me and made me feel a profound connection. It reminded me of a silent film—a medium that transcends language by conveying emotions and ideas visually. This experience reinforced my belief in the power of design to communicate beyond words."
Letting go
"I tend to let deadlines, practicality, and the technicalities of a project dominate my focus at the beginning, which often makes me overly fixed-minded and limits my ability to explore and imagine freely. I’m ready to let go of this approach and embrace a new way of working and thinking, starting each project by dreaming big and removing any self-imposed limitations."
Ashger Zamana | Marketing

Project
“I’ve always been drawn to the artistry of soccer jerseys. There’s something thrilling about the idea of designing a uniform that’s both expressive and functional. It’s a canvas where graphics meet identity, and the possibilities for unique elements feel endless. I’d love to explore this creative space and make something that speaks to both team spirit and individuality.”
Inspiration
“If I could sit down with anyone, it would be John Lennon and Yoko Ono. I recently came across one of their weirder vinyl records—it’s a chaotic blend of protest, rock, and Yoko’s wild vocal explorations. I didn’t love it, but it left me thinking. I’d want to ask them how they tune out the noise of the world and stay true to themselves in their work, even when it’s not always “likeable.””
Technology
“Inspired by Neuralink, I’d love a tool that could capture and organize my thoughts in real time. My mind’s always buzzing with ideas, and sometimes it’s hard to keep up. A tool like this could be a game-changer—allowing me to structure and access my thoughts seamlessly, whether for big projects or everyday tasks.”
Fantastical
“I’d love to create an “emotional weather system”. a space that reacts to people’s emotions in real time. Imagine colors, lighting, and even shapes changing to mirror the mood in the room. It would be like stepping into a living piece of art shaped by the collective energy of everyone inside. A blend of emotional and environmental design that’s as unpredictable as the weather!”
Letting go
“This year, I’m letting go of my fear of failure. It’s been a roadblock in my creative process, making me second-guess ideas before they even start. I want to embrace failure as a stepping stone, a part of the journey. Letting go of this fear feels like opening a door to bolder, freer creative exploration.”
Hezi Jacob | Studio Video

Project
“My dream project for the upcoming year is to create meaningful public art that can capture people’s attention and influence their mood. My vision is to design installations that engage the community, create moments of connection, and enhance daily life. The goal is to contribute something that not only brightens people’s days but also instills a sense of hope and collective positivity.”
Inspiration
“I’d love to meet Walt Disney and have a conversation to understand his unique way of thinking. I’d ask about his approach to animation, creativity, and how he managed to dream so big and make those dreams come to life. Learning about his mindset and vision would be incredibly inspiring.”
Technology
“I want to learn more about interactive design and video installations, especially with electronics and coding. This would help me create more engaging and unique experiences that mix art and technology.”
Fantastical
“I believe nothing is truly unachievable, but if I could dream big, my ultimate creative wish would be to help design and build a theme park. After visiting Disneyland last year, I was inspired by the magic behind the rides, the immersive scenery, and the captivating shows. Being part of creating that kind of wonder would be an incredible experience!”
Letting go
“I'm ready to step back from focusing on graphic design and typography to make more space for exploring creativity through technology. Shifting my focus allows me to grow and innovate in new, exciting ways.”
Anna Zolkovsky | Design Dev

Project
“As a designer in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, I get to work on a huge variety of projects across different design spheres. But with the fast-paced nature of our work, there's often little time to dive deep, explore new tools, or experiment as much as I'd like. My dream project for the upcoming year would be something that breaks those boundaries—a cross-platform, cross-team collaboration where we can fully immerse ourselves in the creative process and integrate fresh, innovative tools that elevate our design work. It’s about pushing the craft forward and creating something that truly stands out”.
Inspiration
“I draw massive inspiration from architecture—it’s fascinating how architects craft spaces that not only fit their surroundings but also tell a story through materials, form, and context. I’d love to grab a drink with a group of architects and dive into their process. I’d ask them how they conceptualize a building’s role within its environment, choose materials, and think about scale and shape. I’m curious about how they balance vision with constraints to create design that’s both functional and inspiring. And if it’s with Tadao Ando, it would be more than perfect.”
Technology
“I often find myself juggling six different design programs simultaneously for a single project. It's time to have a unified solution that can streamline this process. Imagine an AI tool that intelligently adapts my designs across various platforms, handling the heavy lifting of asset management for me. For example, with a major project like a large-scale event that requires countless assets—like a website, social media graphics, print materials, and video content—I've developed my concepts and layouts. Instead of manually exporting and adjusting each asset for different platforms, I envision a tool that automatically optimizes these elements according to my specifications. It could intelligently center images, adjust layouts, and format designs for each medium without extra effort on my part. This would save me hours of tedious adjustments and allow me to focus more on the creative aspects of design, ultimately enhancing my productivity and the quality of my work.”
Fantastical
“My big creative wish is to collaborate with Tadao Ando. Just the thought of working with such an iconic architect is beyond exciting! I’d love to co-create a project and eventually design an artist book that captures both his vision and my design perspective. And speaking of exaggerations, I dream of presenting a project or some exhibition of mine in one of the buildings he designed.”
Letting go
“I'm a strong believer in the power of perfectionism and the importance of refining details at a microscopic level. However, I’m ready to learn to let go of that mindset. Sometimes, this focus on perfection can slow down my workflow and prevent me from seizing other opportunities that won’t wait for me to finish. By embracing a more balanced approach, I hope to enhance my creative process, allowing for quicker iterations and more room for experimentation without sacrificing quality.”
