There may be no other color that carries such heavy cultural baggage. It’s as if we all share a primordial memory with red at its center. Any artist or designer knows what an impact red lighting will make on a set, how powerful a red blotch will be in a composition, and how meaningful the use of a red button is in an interface.

Red can be an expression of love, risk, protest, and desire. Red also signifies blood, a stop sign, ketchup, blush, Campari, roses, communism, Coca-Cola, fire and so many other things. It all depends on what it means to you.
