The truth is, however, that AI is not a new technology. It’s been around for decades, and Wix and AI have been in a long-term relationship. In 2016, we launched Artificial Design Intelligence (ADI), which used AI to create custom websites for users much faster than previously possible. Since then, we've continued advancing our offerings, leveraging the many opportunities AI brings to make the creation experience more frictionless for Self Creators and Partners.
Interestingly enough, we were initially perceived as a company at risk of AI disruption. However, 2023 proved to be a pivotal year for us with significant advances in our product suite.
We have always believed that Wix will benefit greatly from advancements in AI which is why we have invested in developing our models which are based on decades of research, deep knowledge, and experimentation. This makes our AI tools reliable and sophisticated. The goal of our AI is to offload most, if not all, of the hard work from the user, while continually updating our AI solutions based on user feedback and addressing user needs.
Our impressive toolkit of AI capabilities includes features that help Wix users create visual and written web content more easily, optimize design and content layout, enhance and generate images, write code, and manage their websites and businesses more efficiently. Ultimately we launched our revolutionary AI Website Builder. Through a new conversational AI chat experience, users are asked to describe their intent and goals with follow-up questions according to their answers. AI uses the collected information to instantly create a professional and uniquely designed website with a layout and text and images on relevant pages, business solutions, and more.
Both Self Creators and Partners have shown excellent engagement with our AI products over the past year with the majority of new users today using or interacting with at least one AI tool on their web creation journey. We believe conversational AI agents are the future of AI and will be everywhere as a go-to tool for Self Creators and Partners. AI assistants can help perform specific tasks, answer questions, or carry out commands. Users can describe their intent and goals through an AI-chat experience, and AI will execute the action or series of actions to satisfy the user. They will streamline and automate processes, ultimately, reducing friction and creating greater efficiency which is why we’re heavily investing in them.
New AI models are shaking the industry and truly giving new functionalities. We will continue to innovate, integrating AI-based tools into our platform to best support our users and provide them with the tools they need to be successful. We expect AI to continue to be a major competitive advantage for us and to significantly drive growth in 2024 and beyond as
we build our product suite with more AI tools to make the web creation experience more frictionless for users and help improve operations.
