Advanced SEO tools built into your site
Robots.txt editor
Wix automatically generates a robots.txt file for your site. Edit this file to tell bots how to crawl and index your site.
Structured data markup
Structured data markup is automatically added to product pages, events, blog/forum posts and more to make site content eligible to appear as a rich result.
You can modify Wix’s built-in presets with custom markups from your favorite schema generator tools.
Plus, you can add and edit multiple structured data markups on pages of the same type simultaneously using variables.
Server Side Rendering (SSR)
Wix’s infrastructure is based on SSR, allowing search engines to fully read your site content.
Dedicated versions of your pages are created and optimized, allowing bots to crawl, view, and extract relevant information.
URL customization
Edit URL slugs on all your site pages and the URL structure of your product pages and blog posts, or use those automatically provided by Wix.
Wix automatically takes care of updating sitemaps, creating 301 redirects for impacted URLs and updating canonical and other relevant meta tags.
Custom meta tags
SEO-friendly meta tags like your title tags, meta descriptions, and open graph tags, are automatically generated for all your pages.
Customize, modify, or add your own tags to optimize pages for search engines.
Robots meta tags
Wix automatically adds robots meta tags to your site.
Customize the default presets to tell search engines how to interact with pages on your site. Apply them to multiple pages or individual ones all at once.
Canonical tags
While default canonical tags are automatically set by Wix, you can always customize them.
Edit your default canonical tags to tell search engines which pages are primary versions for indexing.
Social sharing optimization
Customize how your pages look when they’re shared on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.
Add your own images, titles, and descriptions for each page of your site, and choose your card size on Twitter.
Use free text to apply the same title and description to every page, or use variables to create rules for each section or page of your site.
SEO Settings
With SEO Settings, you get the option to edit pages individually or by page type, so you can work more efficiently and at scale. Easily review, monitor and edit your URL slugs, indexability, open graph tags, structured data markup, robots meta tags and more—all from one place.
XML sitemaps
Wix optimizes your site for visual search by automatically creating dynamic image sitemaps—making it easier for search engines to find images on your site and improving your discoverability.
Bulk 301 redirects
Create permanent 301 redirects for multiple URLs. With the URL Redirect Manager, you can manually set up redirects for a single URL, or a group of URLs that share the same path.
Upload your own CSV file and import up to 500 URLs at once. An error message will appear if redirects were not set up properly, or if a 301 loop was created.
Bot log reports
Review your log data to get a better understanding of how search engine bots crawl your site.
Use Analytics Reports such as Bot Traffic Over Time, Bot Traffic by Page and Response Status Over Time to identify issues and opportunities. You can schedule these reports to be sent directly to your inbox.
Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and caching
Wix integrates with external CDN providers in addition to our own CDN solution. This allows us to automatically cache static and dynamic user content ensuring that your site loads faster regardless of your location, network or device.
Image optimization
Wix automatically optimizes site images for quality, search, and faster downloads.
SEO-friendly formats are supported, while larger images are often compressed and converted into WebP format (when supported by browsers).
Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) for Wix Blog
Get faster loading times on mobile devices for your blog posts.
