Troubleshoot and resolve issues with sections and containers that won’t resize

You just want to make a section smaller but something is blocking you from resizing? Don’t stress, let’s fix it together!

Take a look at the footer on my website here. See that big gap at the bottom? 

When I try resizing it, it just snaps back. Frustrating, right?

Let’s open up the inspector and check the elements inside the section to see what’s going on.

The title looks fine. Now let’s check email and phone number – uh, they have a 30% margin set in the bottom. This margin means that no matter how small we try to make the section, it's always forced to maintain that extra space at the bottom – just like a buffer.

In this case we don’t want that. So the fix is simple: let's delete that bottom margin. Now, we can adjust the section's height exactly how we want it.
