Hey, it’s Henry from the Wix Studio team. Let’s take a look at adding and editing transparent videos with Wix Studio.
Transparent videos let you create dynamic visuals with invisible backgrounds, so they’ll look good on any device or browser.
Plus, you can customize their colors, flip and rotate them to control how visitors will interact with them and place them literally anywhere on your site to create a stunning effect.
To add a transparent video, open up the Add panel and click Decorative or Video and Music.
Scroll down and click More Transparent Videos to see the full library, which was created by world leading creatives.
Next, just click or drag the video you want right to where you want it on your site.
If you have a transparent video of your own, just upload it like any other video, and it'll stay transparent.
You can also make your own transparent video from any video format that contains an “alpha channel”.
As long as it has that, it’ll automatically be converted into a MP4 file that’ll play with a transparent background on any browser.
To change how visitors engage with your transparent video, click on it and go to the behaviors icon.
From here, choose if your video will play automatically, how it’ll pause and whether or not it’ll loop.
Then, head over to the Inspector.
Under Design, change its cover image…
And, here, switch this toggle to recolor the video.
Choose from duotone, dark wash, light wash, grayscale or hue.
Once you’re happy with it, you can preview your video and hit Publish.
Now you’re ready to add a custom transparent video to your site.
