Hey, I’m Henry from the Wix Studio team. Here to show you how to add products to a Wix Store with Wix Studio..
If you don’t have one yet, check out our tutorial on How to add a Wix Store at the link in the description below.
To upload your products individually, click here and go to New Product.
Then choose whether you're selling a physical or a digital product.
The process is essentially the same for both.
Ok, the first thing to add is your product name.
Then, add some images.
We suggest adding at least one minimalist product photo and one lifestyle image.
Also consider adding an image that shows the dimensions of any physical products and a high-quality video of the product being used.
Then add alt text to improve your SEO and accessibility by clicking these three dots and choosing Edit Alt Text For Images.
As always, you should add unique alt text for every image.
Next up, add a ribbon for things like new arrivals, sale items or seasonal products.
Once you design this ribbon and add it here, it’ll show up in your product gallery.
Then, add any Brand attributes in this box.
This won't show up for your customers, but it’s important for SEO and can help you to rank higher in some search results.
So next time you have another product from the same brand, just select it from the drop-down menu.
Now, add the product description.
You can either write your own or use the AI text generator.
Just add the product name and the business-type, then add everything you’d like the customer to know in this box.
Make sure to include any features and benefits of the product…
product dimensions, and any extra information, like care instructions, policies, warranties and shipping info.
Next up, add your pricing information, including the cost of goods.
And add any product options, like different sizes, colors, materials or other variations, so customers can choose the one they want.
Click to add an option, you can add six per product and up to 100 choices per option, with a max of 1,000 variants per product.
The combination of your choices creates a variant for each product. So, in this case, color: neutral and type: glossy will create a neutral, glossy lipstick.
To individually manage each variant, toggle on Manage Pricing and Inventory for Variants then set the price, cost of goods and SKU for each variant.
If your client plans to calculate shipping by weight, you should add that in here too.
Either manually set items to in or out of stock here or toggle Track Inventory to set specific stock quantities for each variant.
These’ll automatically adjust as people purchase products from your client’s store.
Finally, if you don’t want to offer a specific variant anymore, click the Visibility icon to hide it.
When you’re finished, just hit Save. Then, to check out how a product looks on the site, head to preview and check the product flow.
That’s it, you’re all set to stock up a Wix Store.
