The Lake District is a popular area in Cumbria, a region in North West England, filled with stunning forests, lakes, mountains and towns. I made the beautiful town of Grasmere my home for my week in the Lake District and it was a great choice. Besides the incredible local gingerbread, Grasmere was a great base for my trip as it's located right in the heart of the Lakes and let me easily make my way to many of the great fells of the area.
