I have tried this several ways with no success. First not sure difference between a plain page which I add a dataset to, and a dynamic page. My class index page if you click on a row or the userid column was linking to a detail page. I have tried this multiple different times/ways. First I had a link on only one row. Now I do have links on all the rows when I look at in the sandbox and in the live dataset, but none of the rows have a link.
Also created a new item input form, The submit button appears to work, and the images I upload appear in the image boxes, but the data is not being updated into the database.
Sorry for what I expect are user error.
Here is URL, it is live with disclaimers for any real lookers. https://www.png68.online/class-index
the next button thing is OK and makes sense i maybe just need a button to link back to the list .
Write only on submit will make sense and I can do an action atfer which will display the data on different page
thanks very much for your answers
For the submit button: it sounds like the dataset mode is set incorrectly. Try setting the dataset mode to Write-only.
For the next button: this is most probably because the page is a dynamic item page, which only has one item in its dataset. Therefore, when you connect a button to go to the next item in the dataset, it is grayed out since there is no next item. We will be publishing an articles soon that explains how to get around this limitation with a bit of code.
Thanks so much, that did work on the table.
Do you have a answer on the submit button? That still doesn't work. Here a link to that page
The submit button looks grey, and it has loaded the data from one of the rows instead of being blank. If you just type over and fill it in, you might get a non grey button but if you click it, the data is not added or overwritten in the database.

Also, I have a link here to the page which displays when you pick the link. Notice the next button is greyed. Don't seem able to go back or forward from there. That might be OK, but I guess other option is link the the label of the button to the index page, and call it back?

Hi Sandy,
There are several differences between a regular page with a dataset and a dynamic page (which also has a dataset). The main difference is what determines the data in the dataset.
On a regular page, the dataset alone is responsible for what data it holds. It will hold the items from the collection it is connected to that match the dataset's filter (if there is any).
On a dynamic page, the URL determines which data the dataset holds.
You can read more about this here: https://support.wix.com/en/article/about-data-binding-and-datasets
As for the issue you are having: it sounds like you successfully created a dynamic items page (you said the links appear in your collection) and you want to link to those pages from the table.
To do so, click the Connect to Data button of the table, click the link icon for all the columns that you want to use as links, and select the dynamic item page that you want to link to.
