I am currently creating an e-tourism website and I have spent a good amount of time setting up database collections.
Here is the link to view the under construction page :
https://harleymckenson.wixsite.com/monsite
A total of 79 database collections have been set up.
For some unknown reason, texts and figures I have stored into cells in 68 database collections have disappeared ( from «abidjan» until «restaurantsrabat» ). Only data , stored into «restaurantssaintlouis» until « restaurantsyaoundé», is visible . I noticed that all the data disappeared from these 68 database collections on last Saturday. But I think the problem occured in the week of 12 to 17 March 2018. However , I make regular backups.
What should I do if I want to restore a previous version of my site containing all information I have stored in these database collections ?
Hi,
You can use the site history to restore the data from the collection and import it to the recent version of your site.
Good luck:)
I'm having the same issue. Spent hours loading data to the spreadsheet and now is not showing up on the page, even tho the spreadsheet columns have the data showing.
Guys I think something on the Wix side has happened. Data corruption.
One of my collections is failing to load the data. It wont show in the table, not in the sandbox nor in the live side. All my other collections are in tact.. Just the one I was working on - IS GONE!
see images.
I have rebooted and refreshed numerous times... This seems to be on the wix side. Now I don't know where to get the data from.. And If my client sees this sort of instability... I loose my client.
Hi Yisrael,
Thank you for your message.
I'd like to give you one example which proves that I have filled some data correctly in worksheet cells of database collections.
I have created a dynamic page ( restaurantsabidjan) in order to connect it with database collections dedicated to restaurants in Abidjan. When I clicked on « Preview», several pages were generated automatically, with a custom URL for each page. At this point in time, the problem is that I get now an error message indicating the page can’t be located. But it is confirmation that I previously registered in the Wix editor the data I entered. I was wondering if you could solve the problem from this dynamic page.
Apart from that, I will take your suggestion into account, in order to add another field named «Location» and put all of my data in one collection.
Thank you,
Harley
Hi,
Welcome to the Wix Code forums.
I looked at the your site and the collections seem to be empty. I am not aware of any database issues that might cause this problem. Since you have backups, I recommend restoring from the backups.
I do have one suggestion... You really don't need a collection for each location. All you need to do is to add another field named Location (field key: location), and you can then put all of your data in one collection. Retrieving the records for a location would then be as simple as performing a query with a filter by location.
Good luck,
Yisrael
