Hi all, I hope someone can help me.
I have a table of image titles linked to a dataset. I have set this so that when the image title is clicked it links to the image url (which is in the media upload area).
This then opens the image in a new window and displays no problem.
What I really want is for the image to NOT open in a new window but in a popup view that can then be closed easily (typically with a cross in the top right). I think this is like the normal pop up view.
My question is can this function be embedded somehow into the url i have in the dataset? or is there another way?
The reason for this being in a dataset rather than a gallery is that a photography judge will be submitting their feedback into another writeable dataset.
a couple of screenshots attached.
Your help on this would be really appreciated.
Hi,
I use Wix Pro Gallery to solve that issue.
You can bind the Image source to your collection field Image
Attention to use Links. There is a strange bug with this thing. If you connect this field, the onClick event will go to the URL instead of Open in extend view. I did fix this by iterating with a ForEach on the gallery.items and give the .link attribute the URL . It then opens the image in Expand mode, and it shows the link nice on the side.
Instead of a new page, just set it up with a lightbox instead.
As you are using the table.

Use table row or table cell and use your lightbox to host the image.
