I've spent over a month designing a database & dynamic page set up for a client. One of our fields has ALWAYS been a "Media Gallery." We also have a field called "Main Media" I created, tested it, previewed, published - been lovin my "Media Gallery" field in my Database...
Today, I was updating my Main Media when I noticed my Media Gallery Field was empty. NOW, when I click on it, instead of the Wix Media Gallery opening up where my pictures were selected... instead it wants me to add a "BOOK"? What is this? Whats happening? Where did my Media Gallery go!? I googled this... found nothing. Anyone??
Also. When I click "Change to Media Gallery" (which is weird because I double checked and it already IS a "Media Gallery") this Add a Book Title window pops up... I press cancel... and then this js object code appears, which I did not put there. WHAT IS A BOOK? WHERE DID MY MEDIA GALLERY GO? And where did the Media Go that I added? I've searched the forum and also found nothing.
It's been a long day (and a long time coming working on this database structure with my client who is very happy), I don't mean to panic, but if a Moderator has any insight that would be amazing. As I said, I searched online and on the Forum and I can't find any info on this. Please note, these are dynamic pages connected to databases. I've had them set up more or less like this for over a month with the Media Gallery as my Client and I decided on other matters. NO actual CODING yet on the page. But it has previously been working beautifully.

Picture 3: When I click the "Add Book" or later "Change to Media Gallery" link it takes me to the screen displayed in Picture 4, Regardless if I press "Cancel" or Submit" it inserts the code "{title":"file:null} and the "change to media gallery" link appears. Rinse and repeat.

Well the good old fashioned problem solving technique of turn it off and back on worked again 😁
Glad it works again for you and you just had to sync the dataset again, although as you say, it would be good if this glitch in the system is sorted so that it doesn't happen to others and they think that they have lost everything too.
I would still say it is best to report it to Wix Support though and tell them everything about the problem and how it was rectified, so they at least have a record of it themselves and they can pass it on to the relevant department.
Oh wow. Okay, I problem solved before submitting a Wix Ticket. I closed and reopened me editor. Sandbox was still the same but when I went to my live box the old media gallery content was there. I simply "synced" my live box to sandbox aka "replac[ed] all items: Live->Sandbox". It worked! And now instead of "Add Book" it says "Edit Items" again.
What a relief! But... would still like answers. It would be good for Wix (Corvid) to be aware of this bug at least. I've spent too much time today as it is. Need to go back and redo all my work. I will leave this post up in case anyone has the same or similar issue: When in doubt - Restart and then Sync Live->Sandbox!

Otherwise you can send in a support ticket and they will look at your issue and reply back when it is sorted or telling you that it is being passed onto the correct department to look into it further.
You can go back to a previous version, however I would suggest waiting until Wix Support response incase you revert back to a previous version for nothing.
