I have made a submission form and have set the dataset to Read & Write so that entries can be updated. But whenever you go to the submission form it immediately pulls up the last entry and only modifies that one. How do I set it up so that you can modify specific entries or at least make a button on the dynamic page to edit their entry?
Form:
Ah ok, that sounds good! Thank you! I'll follow the instructions and start!
If you're dealing with just one collection, then you can just use the dynamic page itself as the edit form.
You'll need to:
Make sure the dynamic page's dataset is set to Read & Write.
Add and connect input elements which will display the item info and allow for it to be edited.
Make sure you're collection permissions are set properly. You probably want to set the update permission to Site member author.
This is a simple way to allow users to update the items in the collection. If you need something more complex, like only letting users see their own items, not showing editable elements unless the user clicked a button to edit, etc. you'll need to do a bit more work.
Also, I could add you as a contributer if you'd like to view it temporarily from the backend :D
Lol, no worries, you're not a pain. Yeah, the dynamic page displays the items from one database collection. Such as Name, Submitter, Founding Date, etc.
Sorry to be a pain, but just to understand exactly how this is working: Does the dynamic page show one item in a collection containing organization information or is there some sort of master-detail relationship where the dynamic page shows multiple items in a different collection that are related to a particular organization?
Hello Sam,
Ok, so theirs a form where people can submit their organization. Then there's a dynamic page that includes all of the information per organization. I want so that the people who submitted their entry are able to update the information.
Just like how on the forum theirs a button to update profile, something similar.

Hi again,
I'm having a little trouble following the whole scenario that you're trying to create. What do you mean by "their dynamic page"? Are there multiple items per user? Please elaborate on what you're trying to build - what pages you want, what they do, and how they work together.
Hello,
I want users to be able to click a button on their dynamic page that says "Change Info" and then they are able to edit their submissions. I've got 2 little buttons already for people to scroll through the entries :D

Hey Jason,
If you want users to be able to scroll through all of the items in the collection you can add two buttons to serve as Next and Previous buttons. You then use the Connect panel of the buttons to connect them to the page's dataset. In the Link connects to section choose the Previous dataset item action for one button and the Next dataset item action for the other button.
If you don't want users to be able to scroll through all of the items in the collection, but rather have them presented with a subset of the items in the collection, you might want to use the dataset filtering functionality.
