I need a bit of a pointer - I've been asked by a trade association to create a new site, where all members of the association have their own profile page - of which I have nailed this part including creating the dynamic page.
Each member can cover more than one geographical area,
IE,
AREA 1
AREA 2
AREA 3
AREA 4
One of the functions that they have requested is for visitors to the site to be able to select an area and the members serving this area to be displayed in the results.
Similar to this video with the drop down option on the right: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hx7_8-lRsW0
I can't get my head around it at all - is it possible for each member to be part of multiple areas and have them come up in results?
Also, if this is possible, i presume that the results would be presented in alphabetical order for the area selected - this will lead to accusations of favouritism or members with names further down the alphabet never being seen in the results.
Is there a way of 'randomising' the results each time an area is selected?
I have tried for a couple of hours to find the information to help me with this to no avail.
Thanks in advance for any constructive input.
