my site is loading very slow and the which has repeater and data set loads very very slow and when it loads it shows the full blank white page and because of this visitors get little bit confused about whether the site is loading or not and sometime they leave the site because they think that site is not working.
I also added the pre loader to the site and it is working but what happen is when the site loads first it shows the white page for 7 to 12 sec the it show pre loader for 1 to 3 sec and then it shows the content on the normal connection and on LTE it loads little faster.
This is the pre loader code which i had used
$w.onReady(() => {
waitForLoading();
});
export function button6_onClick() {
$w('#columnStrip1').show();
waitForLoading();
}
function waitForLoading() {
setTimeout(() => {
$w('#columnStrip1').hide('FadeOut');
}, 1500);
}
I think wix should add some built in pre load so that visitors will get the idea that the site is loading or not
I am seeing serious slowness on the Order online page for my site. It's highly unlikely that customers will tolerate the slowness. How is anyone running their real online ordering business on Wix?. I wish Wix spent more time on fixing performance issues rather than SEO and marketing. Opened a support ticket but not optimistic about a resolution from Wix. Should have done more research and stayed away. After some own analysis, I am wondering why does the Online ordering widget load all elements (including images) by default? Why can't it collapse the elements and load just the nodes (appetizers, soups, entrees, desserts, etc.) and allow the customer to expand the nodes one at a time to load the elements under each node? Wouldn't that at least render the initial page faster and keep the customer engaged? I guess it needs tinkering with the code when it could have been a simple widget property setting. SMH.
I' m afraid the specialized to wix code forum, is not so specialized since there are a lot of problems/questions with no answer a t a l l.
Also, we all know the slow site load issues as this is a common problem.
Dear wix owners, managers
This subject is very important. We're losing customers.
Please ask for quick support and assistance.
especially mobile site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Generally speaking, WIX sites speed sucks!
Thank God I use a website by other platform. It turns that WIX sites are just for fun, test and nothing serious.
I am absolutely my mobile site. My statistics say that many users are accessing via mobile device. With this speed it is absolutely annoying. Who waits 10 or more seconds until a page opens?
Please get that fixed. Otherwise i will have to quit wix. it is just bad for my business
Worked all day on this and I have the same issue with a very slow database. Not happy, stressed out for nothing.
Wix websites load within 3 secs, if you have a problem with your website taking along time to load then check your whole the speed on your overall site and check to see if you any elements on your website that you have added, that are taking a long time to load up initially and thus is affecting your website's load up time.
I had same issues with my site loading time on desktop it was great but wix Mobile let it down - most visitors will not wait more than 2.0 sec for a page to fully load before they just move on to another url, stats suggest you lose upto 70% of clicks when visitors are left waiting for pages to load, i tried everything to improve my load time on wix mobile - i got so frustrated in the end i took the plunge and went over to wordpress.
If only wix mobile performed better i would have stayed with them, Wordpress was the right move for me, i lost my seo i had built up but the switch paid dividends, my site now fully loads between 0.5 & 0.7sec on Mobile and tablet using a couple of plugin's to leverage browser caching, minify HTML css and java requests and optimizing images has made massive difference to load times.
I like wix for it's ease of drag n drop page design if they ever sort their mobile side out i would not hesitate to return - with google now making mobile page speed a top criteria towards google rankings. Wix needs to up it's a game or lose valuable customers.
@tal Excuse me for the language, but are you kidding me? For sure I can submit the sitemap, but only the useless sitemap WIX has created...
However. I already phoned with the wix support team etc. to be more than sure you are not able to edit such, thanks though for trying to lead me to them once again. I do not care for this anymore as I know that this won't be resolved in ages.
I only care about the awful long loadtime of my webpage.
I absolute Love:
*The ease of use
*The beauty * The RANKING! SEO IS FABULOUS!
* PRICE!! OMG Thank you! Starting up - this is important! However all of this does not matter if your site takes 15 seconds to load, nor will google put you in the top 10.
I also use Shoxxxy. Ease of use HORRIBLE!, EXPENSIVE, everything is EXTRA, almost as good looking as Wix (if you figure it out), However it loads in 1.7 seconds! This is the most important of any website if I had to choose one, speed is it!
What does Shopxxy have that Wix does not? AKAMAI It is hands down the best CDN on the globe - with a high price of course. $2200 a month is just not doable. However for Wix - a drop in the bucket for the unlimited at 4500 a month. This would give us all a boost and WIX would take the market hands down. Come on WIX, I need to add my forum!! PLEAAASE! If I add a blog, chat box, forum, it is so slow I cannot even work on it. Please please please please! You got this WIX! Lets open a can of WHOOPASS! PSSTTT!
My website still loads in 18 secs.... why other websites like inlinewarehouse with 10 times bigger files, images FHD quality loads in 2 secs?
@marco castigliego This seems to be at some point correct. Maybe their cleaner doesn't work correctly.
For me though the main problem are the external loaded Javascript files as I mentioned many times towards wix. I do not need most of them and they cause a huge delay in loading my webpage.

So JS files + deleting / adding content might cause this massive loading delay which is quite cancerous regarding any customer.
Don't even talk about Mobile version, this is even worse...
Else I am quite okay with wix, except that you neither can:
- edit / add own Sitemap.xml,
- nor robots.txt
causing my google SEO being kind of bad.
Premium plan will not solve the issue at all. The only way i found to fix this is to restart from scratch and after each change monitor the speed. I recreated the website exactly how it was before (when it was slow) and now it is fast. My guess is that the code that generates the html/js/css is buggy and messed up when adding and removing stuff. Start from scratch, re do everything, monitor the speed........good luck
I thought the issue is because I am using the free plan and will be solved once I buy a premium plan. But here I can see that the same issue is faced by those who paid.
I am wondering now if I should buy a premium plan or not.
Dear Wix team, would you fucking do something about loading times on mobile? Why is everything wrong with Wix? It would be such a game changer if it actually worked properly. You suck.
Hi Tal,
my whole site loads at pretty good speed not taking more the 3 sec but the page with dataset take 10 to 15 sec.
I also tried empty dataset that are not connected to any database then also the site loads very slow.
This is my link of the website please do open in mobile becuase on desktop the elements are hidden
This is the link of my site - https://www.orooms.in
This is the link of the page which has dataset on it

GUYS MY WEBSITE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM on mobile version Dbrmskateshop.com/freeskate
But i found using Microsoft edge loads incredible faster than chrome, hope you guys try this and start recomending using EDGE instead of chrome on mobile!
Desktop version runs pretty smooth, so my only issue is mobile!
One more thing- note that the onReady function runs when all the page elements have finished loading. Therefore, the pre-loader example won't help in this case.
Hi all,
In most cases, adding lots of images, animations and other heavy components to your site causes slow loading time of your site. In order to resolve the issue, I recommend checking out the following articles:
1. https://support.wix.com/en/article/improving-your-sites-loading-time-4735844
2. https://support.wix.com/en/article/understanding-site-loading-time
Moreover, I recommend running a speed test to determine what causes the slow speed time of your site:

5. https://support.wix.com/en/article/mobile-site-loading-time
6. https://support.wix.com/en/article/troubleshooting-mobile-live-site-issues
If your site still loads slow after adding lighter elements to your site, please contact Wix Support team and provide them with the link to the speed test so that they can check on their end what causes the slow loading time. In case of a mobile site issue, please send them all the information requested at the end of the 6th article.
As for sites with code, I recommend checking out Yoav's announcements:

If you have a site with code that runs slow, please provide us with a site URL, a video of the issue using screencast and the pages to which code was added so that we can check it on our end. Note that that this refers only to sites with code.
Regards,
Tal.
My website is also loading very slow! Much bigger problem is that my site often doesnt load at all on my mobile (Android system). Wix should solve these problems very quickly.
