Games on Velo?
Yup! We’ve got some examples for you to take inspiration from including live examples like Poker and templates you can mess around with:
Tic Tac Toe which shows how the realtime API can be leveraged to create a multiplayer experience.
Space Invaders which demonstrates how SVGs can be modified in real time to create 2D motion graphics. SVGs are just strings after all 🙂
We know Velo isn’t intended to be a game platform and that’s what makes this a challenge. You’ll really need to use your creativity.
What are the prizes?
First place is $5,000 and tickets for two to fly to DevCon with $30,688 in total prizes! The full set of prizes can be found on the hackathon website.
We also have a bonus prize for community members so if you’re not yet involved in the Forum and Discord it’s a great time to start!
How can I get started?
Head on over to wixdevcon.devpost.com to get registered, read the rules, and check out all the prizes. Then start thinking about what you want to make, form a team (or go solo), and get creating!
